This is the newest and possibly most exciting addition to the RoamEO product line.  The PuPpod unit is aimed at the budget minded consumer.  Like the RoamEO Classic it will track your pet using GPS technology, but by sacrificing a few bells and whistles it will do it for about $100.00 less.  But this is not the most exciting change ( I will get to that shortly).

The PuPpod unit differs from the classic in the following ways:

• The handheld is smaller and more streamlined.  It will now fit comfortably in anyone's hands and is not so bulky.
• It is a pointing unit.  What this means is that instead of showing the dogs moving around in real time it points to a quadrant - Front, back, left, right, front/left, front/right, rear/left, and rear/right.  Showing you the direction you need to walk in order to meet up with your pet.
• It also shows the distance that you are away from the pet, so you know how far you need to travel.
• Unlike the RoamEO Classic, the PuPpod will only track two pets at a time
• The Screen is also in a high contrast black and white format, and very readable in sunlight.

Here is where it gets REALLY exciting!  Why?  Because this affects both the RoamEO Classic and the NEW PuPpod.  Several improvements have been made to the collars:

• First, the battery life is now 24 hours per charge instead of 6-8
• 3 Mile Range
  
• There is no longer a box on the collar.  Everything is integrated directly into the collar itself, so the big bulky looking boxes are gone.
• The batteries are now a removable, proprietary battery that the user can easily pop in and pop out and put on our new charging unit.  Now you have the opportunity to sell additional batteries that they can keep fresh on a charger at all times.
• No more on or off switch!  When you clip the collar on the pets neck, it turns on....when you take it off...it turns off, it is that simple.
• Collar strap fits neck sizes between 12 and 24 inches
• GPS Enabled Receiver: Contains a WAAS enabled GPS receiver tracking up to 12 satellites
• Distance and Direction: The RoamEO Pup displays the distance between you and the RoamEO Collar and the direction to travel to find your pet
• Sleek, Water Resistant Construction: The RoamEO Pup is water resistant to a depth of 1 meter

These collars are compatible with both the New PuPpod and the RoamEO classic!

These collars turn on using magnetic fields.  By putting the cover on backwards, their is an extra piece of plastic that sticks out of one side of the cover.  If that is not facing the proper way, it makes it so the collar does not latch properly, and keeps the magnetic switches from making a solid connection.  This in turn made the collars only work sporadically.  Please read the notice below and make sure you understand what is going on.
